What we collect when you contact us

The enquiry form on this website asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number, the service you are interested in and a description of your project. Those details are stored in this website's database and emailed to us so we can reply. We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or anything sensitive through this website.

What we collect automatically

This site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how pages are used, which sets cookies in your browser and sends usage data to Google. We also use Google Search Console, which reports on how the site appears in search results and does not identify individuals. Our web host keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

You can block or delete these cookies in your browser at any time. The site works without them.

Why we use it

To answer your enquiry, to quote and deliver work you have asked for, to keep records of the work we have done, and to understand which pages are useful so we can improve them. We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list because you filled in an enquiry form.

Who else can see it

Only the services we need to run the business. That currently means our web host, our email provider, Google Analytics and Search Console, and the messaging services you choose to contact us through, such as WhatsApp. Each of those has its own privacy terms. If we ever need to bring in a subcontractor on your project, we will tell you first.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are kept while they are still useful and then deleted. Records relating to actual work, including quotes and invoices, are kept for as long as Australian tax and business record-keeping rules require.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and we will do that unless we are legally required to keep it. Email me@sumitbrands.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If you are not happy with how we have handled a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update it here and change the date at the top of this page. The version in force is the one published on this page on 3 November 2026.
