A SLOW WEBSITE IS QUIETLY
KILLING YOUR SALES.
Every extra second sends people back to the search results. We measure what is actually slow, fix the causes rather than installing another plugin, and show you the numbers before and after.
WordPress speed and Core Web Vitals
SPEED IS NOT A PLUGIN, IT IS A DIAGNOSIS.
Installing another optimisation plugin on a slow site usually makes it slower, and occasionally breaks the checkout. Speed work starts with measurement: what is the Largest Contentful Paint, what is actually blocking the first render, and how long is the server taking before a single byte arrives.
Once that is known, the fixes are usually unglamorous. Right-sized images in the right format. Caching configured for your stack rather than left on defaults. A database with years of revisions cleared out. Scripts that load when they are needed instead of on every page.
We measure Core Web Vitals the way Google does, fix the causes we find, then run the same tests again so you can see the difference in writing rather than taking our word for it.
THE SIGNS YOU NEED THIS FIXED.
If any of these sound like your situation, this is the right page.
Five seconds or more to load
People decide in about three. After that most of them are gone.
Slipping in Google
Core Web Vitals are a ranking signal and a slow site loses ground quietly.
Painful on mobile
Most of your traffic is on a phone on mobile data, not a desktop on fibre.
Huge unoptimised images
One 4MB photo can cost more load time than everything else combined.
Plugin and script bloat
Thirty plugins each loading their own CSS and JavaScript on every page.
A checkout that lags
The slowest page is often the one where the money changes hands.
EXACTLY WHAT IS INCLUDED.
No vague scope. This is what you get for the number on the quote.
A real speed audit
Core Web Vitals, waterfall and server response measured from a real browser, not a single score.
Caching done properly
Page, object and browser caching configured for your stack instead of defaults.
Image and asset work
Correct formats, correct dimensions, lazy loading where it helps and nowhere it hurts.
Database clean-up
Revisions, expired transients and orphaned metadata cleared safely.
Plugin rationalisation
We find what each plugin actually costs you and remove what is not earning it.
Before and after report
The same tests, run twice, so you can see exactly what changed.
The honest technical bit
WHAT USUALLY CAUSES THIS.
Written out properly, because the cause decides the price and most quotes skip it.
Render-blocking CSS and JavaScript
The browser cannot paint until it has fetched and parsed everything in the head. Moving, deferring or inlining the right things is usually the single biggest win on a WordPress site.
Largest Contentful Paint pointing at a heavy hero
If the biggest element on the first screen is an uncompressed image or an autoplaying video with no poster, nothing meaningful appears until it downloads.
Caching that looks on but is not
Page caching that excludes the pages that matter, or a cache that clears itself on every visit, performs worse than no cache at all. We check what is actually being served, not what the settings claim.
Server response time, not the front end
If time to first byte is already a second, no amount of front-end tuning fixes it. Sometimes the honest answer is that the hosting is the problem, and we will say so.
A SPEED PLUGIN VS ACTUAL SPEED WORK.
Both cost money. Only one of them tells you what was wrong.
| A speed plugin | This work | |
|---|---|---|
| What it measures | One score | Core Web Vitals plus a real waterfall |
| What it fixes | Whatever its defaults assume | The specific cause on your site |
| Images | Compressed in place | Right format and right dimensions |
| Risk | Can break layout silently | Changes tested page by page |
| Proof | A number in a dashboard | Before and after, same test, in writing |
Swipe the table sideways on a phone.
HOW IT RUNS.
Four steps, and you can stop after the second one at no cost.
Tell us what is happening
A message on WhatsApp or the form, in your own words. No form full of fields you do not understand.
Free diagnosis
We look at the real site and write down what is actually wrong, before you have paid anything.
Fixed-price quote
One number, agreed before any work starts. If we cannot fix it, you do not pay for it.
Fixed, tested and handed back
The work done, tested, and a plain-English note on what changed and what to watch.
QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.
The ones people actually ask before they hand over a login.
How fast will my site be afterwards?
We will not promise a number before we have measured yours. What we will do is show you the current Core Web Vitals, tell you which of them we can realistically move and by roughly how much, and then prove it with the same test afterwards.
Is a perfect score worth chasing?
No. A perfect synthetic score on a page nobody visits is worth nothing. We optimise the pages that earn money, measured the way Google actually measures real visitors.
Will this break my design?
It should not, and we test page by page rather than flipping switches globally. If a change costs you a feature you care about, we tell you the trade-off instead of making it for you.
Do I need a CDN?
Often yes, especially if your customers are spread across Australia and your server is not. We will tell you whether it is worth it for your traffic rather than selling you one by default.
Can you fix speed on a site you did not build?
Yes. Most speed work we do is on sites built by somebody else.
What if the hosting is the real problem?
Then we say so and show you the time to first byte that proves it. We can help you move, but we will not take money to tune around a server that cannot keep up.
How long does it take?
Most speed jobs are done within 48 hours of approval. The measuring is quick; the care goes into changing things without breaking them.
